Indika De Zoysa

Indika DeZoysa is a seasoned, vibrant and result oriented professional with 26 years of rich experience covering solution innovation, development, integration and market development with prestigious organizations.

Indika is the Vice President at Huawei Technologies Lanka Co (Pvt) Ltd. In this role Indika is responsible for the Sri Lanka Huawei Enterprise business and provides leadership to the Enterprise business group.

Prior to this role Indika was the Senior Consultant at ICT Agency of Sri Lanka. At ICTA Indika was responsible for providing leadership to its team of managers and staff to drive Country’s Vision of “Transforming Sri Lanka towards a Creative Knowledge-Based Society through digitally empowered citizens”. 

Indika worked at Intel Corporation as the country Business Manager – Sri Lanka for 15 years. During this period Indika was responsible for executing all Intel programs and drive sales of Intel products & ramping newer technologies. He also leveraged cross-functional resources to build and drive visibility for the Intel brand in Sri Lanka. Apart from these core responsibilities, Indika maintained relationships with the Sri Lankan Government and relevant authorities. Prior to Intel, Indika was working for Hemas Pharmaceuticals as a Product Manager.

Currently, Indika serves as a member of the Functional Committee on General Education of the Presidential Task Force and also a member of the Standing Committee on Accreditation & Quality Assurance for Higher education Sector in Sri Lanka.

Furthermore, Indika is a board member of the ICT skills council of Sri Lanka and a Council member of the Computers society of Sri Lanka.

Indika is a past student of Dharmaraja College Kandy and he was a sportsman during his school time. In school, Indika has represented Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, athletics and Table Tennis. For Rugby and Hockey Indika has won college Colours. Indika was a college prefect and deputy house captain as well.

Indika is qualified in Marketing from the Charted Institute of Marketing and MBA from SMC University - Switzerland. Currently Indika is reading for Doctor of Business Administration in University of Kelaniya.


Fayaz Hudah


Former Programme Head of The Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka with nearly 20 years’ experience in technology industry.

Founder of ‘spiralation’, the 1st Technology Accelerator in Sri Lanka. Co-author of the National ICT Capacity Strategy (NICS) which later became government policy for IT & KPO development in Sri Lanka. Drafted bilateral trade in IT/ITES services under CEPA with India and Pakistan. Creator and facilitator of The Technology Entrepreneurship course for Open University Of Sri Lanka.






Board Member University of Moratuwa Business Linkage Cell & Sri Lanka Board Member of Global Entrepreneurship Network. Judge of Kotiyak Vatina Adahasak the 1st startup reality TV show in Sri Lanka. Waruna Sri Dhanapala

Mr. Waruna Sri Dhanapala is a Special Grade Officer of Sri Lanka Administrative Service with over 20 years of public service. He is now serving in the Ministry of Defence as the Additional Secretary (Development) of the Digital Infrastructure & (Information Technology Division. He currently coordinates several policy initiatives, national projects on digitalization, ICT for development and cybersecurity and liaise with ICT Agency of Sri Lanka, CERT and Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL). Mr. Dhanapala is a Director of the Board of the ICT Industry Skills Council of Sri Lanka (ICTISC) and had served in several national level steering committees related to ICT.



Being posted to the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the United Nations in New York Mr. Dhanapala served as the Minister Counsellor during 2012-2014. The UN General Assembly unanimously elected him as Vice Chair of the Second Committee (Economic & Finance) in 2013, representing the Asia-Pacific Group. He was responsible for several key Resolutions, including ICT for Development, Science and Technology for Development and Globalization and Interdependence. He also represented Sri Lanka in the negotiations of the historic UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) and the UN Open Working Group on formulating Sustainable Development Goals. He is a guest speaker at Raisina Dialogue of India, CyFy India and CyFy Africa.

Mr. Dhanapala has also served as Senior Assistant Secretary to the President, Director – Natural Resources at the Ministry of Environment and Director of the National Administrative Reforms Council.

He holds a Masters Degree in International Development Studies from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) of Japan and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology and Computer Science from University of Peradeniya and Masters in Public Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura.


Aruni Liyanagunawardana  

Aruni Liyanagunwardana serves as the Assistant General Manager- IT Business Support and Administration (Actg.) at Information Technology Department of People’s Bank.

She is a Science Graduate with a First Class and also holds a Master of Science Degree from University of Kelaniya. In addition, she is an Associate Member of Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka and holds the Diploma in Banking and Finance from IBSL. She has excelled in this professional qualification with two Gold Medals; one on “Information Technology- Managing Information Systems”.



 Aruni PB

She has successfully completed many local and international training programs including; ‘Management Seminar for Banking Industry in Sri Lanka’, by HIDA in Tokyo, Japan, ‘LIV-NUS Strategic Leadership Development Programme- by National University of Singapore, ‘Transforming Business Organisations to Achieve Growth’, by Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad, India and ‘Emerging Leaders of People’s Bank’, by NIBM, Pune, India etc.

She has joined People’s Bank as a Management Trainee in 2002 and has served in different spheres in the Bank for 18 years holding several Executive and Middle Management positions.

She has been instrumental in implementing the Core Banking system of the Bank in 2004 especially in the Remittance Module and also in launching the Bank’s first ever Web based remittance system to facilitate inward remittances from expats. In the said year, the module People’s eRemittance was recognized by Central Bank of Sri Lanka as one of the prime channels which encouraged inflow of foreign exchange through an innovative process. She has continued to extend her expertise in several more initiatives of the Bank including People’s InstantRemit, People’s Web Remit with enhanced State-of-the Art technological features for taking on board an un tapped customer segment through a comprehensive bundle of solutions and Digital Banking related initiatives etc.

Currently, she focuses on setting up standards and best practices to operate IT Department to deliver quality oriented, controlled and efficient service to various Bank Business Units and implement scalable and innovative technologies, solutions that meet People’s Bank’s strategic business objectives.


Ruwan Amarasekera

With over Twenty Seven years of far ranging experience, Ruwan Amarasekara is a  Professional with C level & Senior Executive level experience in ICT management providing expertise in General Management / Planning / Systems Implementation / Institutional Development for tech transformation of organizations in multiple industries while contributing to ICT industry activities and lecturing / supervising / coaching  for the development of young ICT professionals.

He has provided his expertise for technological transformation of many Clients/organizations in industry verticals such as Air transportation, Health, Finance, FMCG, Manufacturing etc. He has been actively involved in the ICT industry activities and has rendered services to the development of ICT through the professional organizations he is involved in. Further he has contributed his expertise to the young ICT professionals as a visiting lecturer and research project supervisor with two of the local universities.

He is an experienced Judge in many Local and International ICT Competitions such as Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards, InnoServe Awards of Taiwan,, NBQSA, e-Swabhimani etc. for almost 2 decades.

Ruwan Amarasekara has been a Chartered member of BCS and obtained his MBA from Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) of University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He has a Post graduate Diploma in Marketing and is an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK. He is a Member of Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Finalist. He represents Sri Lanka at the Executive Committee of Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA). He is a Past Chairman of BCS the Chartered Institute for IT Sri Lanka Section.



Sandra De Zoysa

Sandra is the Group Chief Customer Officer of Dialog and the Chairperson of the Digital Customer Experience Expert Working Group for Axiata. Sandra is also a Director of Dialog Business Services. In addition to her role at Dialog, she is a founding member and the Vice Chair of SLASSCOM, the Knowledge and Innovation Chamber of Sri Lanka, a founding member and on the Board of Women's Chamber for Digital Sri Lanka and Founding Member and Vice President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Service Management (SLISM).




With over 3 decades of experience in the ICT industry, she is the recipient of multiple global & local awards for women in management, leadership and for her exceptional contributions and achievements in the sphere of Telco and Digital customer experience management. Sandra is an avid keynote speaker, panelist and presenter and has spoken at over 150 global events representing Dialog. She is a certified CE professional from CXPA and an alumna of the Cranfield School of Management UK. She is also a Lean Six Sigma practitioner and a visiting lecturer at the University of Colombo School of Computing since 2009.


Hasith Yaggahavita

As the CTO and a member of the board, Hasith leads the engineering division of 99X Technology, an award-winning software engineering company. With 16 years of experiences, Hasith has worked across multiple disciplines as a catalyst for change including Agile, UX, Lean Startup, Digital Marketing, CSR, Incubators, etc.


During 2015, Hasith's interest grew around innovation and creativity. Driven by his passion to change the way we educate youth, Hasith co-founded IgniterSpace, Sri Lanka’s first Makerspace chain for young innovators. He is also a Co-Founder of Maturify, a startup that offers a Modern Learning Management SaaS solution.

He is a graduate from the CSE department of University of Moratuwa and holds a Masters degree from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. Hasith is a Certified Scrum Master, Sun Certified Java Programmer and Microsoft Certified Application Developer too.

He is a founding member of StartupX Foundry, Colombo Camps Community. He has previously served ICTISC and SLASSCOM as a board member.


Vishaka Nanayakkara

Ms. Vishaka Nanayakkara is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at University of Moratuwa. She is also the chairperson of the University’s centre for Open Distance Learning.

Her research interests are performance modelling and analysis, technology based teaching, learning, assessment in higher education, e-Governance and ICT for development and social cohesion.


 Vishaka Nanayakkara

In 2016 year she was awarded the “Female ICT leader of the Year” award by Computer Society of Sri Lanka. She was a member of the judging panel for ‘Kotiyak Vatina Adahask’ - Entrepreneurship based tech reality TV show.

Ms Nanayakkara is passionate about promoting entrepreneurship among young Sri Lankans. She is the staff advisor for University of Moratuwa’s Entrepreneurship Society and the chair for university’s centre for Gender Equity and Equality. She is a Board Member of LIRNEasia and Women’s Chamber for Digital Sri Lanka.


Sampath Jayasundara

A believer that technology works best when it brings people together, Sampath has invested the best years in his life on helping people and businesses maximize their talent for operational excellence. Extremely passionate in building start-ups to become multinationals, he inspires and motivates businesses on how to leverage emerging technologies to bring out the best in their most important asset, their people. Sampath has over 20 years of experience in the field of education and technology with a diverse exposure in working with many pillars and layers of over 18 industries.




He enjoys coaching and providing solutions on optimizing corporate talent in millennials to gen Z workforce. Sampath is a board member in a few companies with potential to grow globally and the current Chief Executive Officer at hSenid Business Solutions. He has been with hSenid since the beginning, and hasn’t looked back even after making hSenid an Indigenous Multinational.

Sampath is widely considered as one of the most engaging lecturers and authentic keynote speakers on HR trends, HR Tech and Workforce Analytics in Asia.


Prof. Rangika Halwathura


Rangika is an eminent expert in the field of Engineering. He is specialized in sustainable material and design, Green technology, Construction Management, Structural Designing, Project Planning and Monitoring, Computer-Aided Server Base Project planning and Monitoring, Forensic Engineering, BIM (Building Information Modeling).

He has patents for many products and has won many awards. He is currently working as a Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa. Rangika is the current Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission.


Rangika consults government and private sector projects in the field of construction.

He received his B.Sc. Engineering, First Class Honours and Ph.D. (Structural and Building Services Engineering) from University of Moratuwa. Obtained the Chartered Engineer from Institution of Engineers in 2011.


Romani Rupasinghe

Romani is a technology savvy, decisive and results-oriented professional who brings over 12 years of IT experience to Swivel Group. She exhibits a vast amount of knowledge and exposure in managing highly-available, massively scalable, data-driven enterprise software solutions. Romani has been involved in overseeing software development activities, ensuring on-time delivery of business solutions along with client management, and offering architectural and business solutions.



She has demonstrated excellent skills in working with and managing offshore software development teams throughout her career. She is passionate about building high caliber technology teams, creating a strong engineering culture and fostering technical innovation.

She has prior work experience at Hsenid Business Solutions and Pearson Lanka. Currently Romani Works as Head of Engineering - SwivelTech - Swivel Group Pvt Ltd.


Dr. Roshan Hewapathirana, MBBS, MSc (IT), PhD, MIEE

Roshan Hewapathirana is a Senior Lecturer in Medical and Health Informatics at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. His research interests span health information systems, information systems interoperability, open source and IOT in health and medicine. Dr Hewapathirana received the medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, and completed a masters degree in Information Technology at the University of Moratuwa. He obtained a doctoral degree from the University of Oslo, Norway in Health Information Systems for his research on platform ecosystems and open source in health domain.



He is also a visiting lecturer and a member of the Specialty Board in Biomedical Informatics, Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM), University of Colombo and has contributed towards establishing Biomedical Informatics as a specialty in medicine in Sri Lanka. He is also a joint (academic) convener of the Blended Learning Committee of the University of Colombo.

Dr Hewapathirana is also a Fellow of the Commonwealth Centre for Digital Health. Currently he is serving as the Hon. Secretory of the Health Informatics Society of Sri Lanka, the Hon. Treasures of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, Sri Lanka Section and a member of the working council, Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN). He is also a Joint Executive Editor of the Sri Lanka Journal of Biomedical Informatics and a reviewer in several international journals in health and medical informatics.

Dr Hewapathirana is a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) Digital Health Roster of Experts. He has experience in working with international development partners such as UNICEF, WHO, International Organization for Migrants (IOM), AudAID, Data for Health, and Global Fung to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GF ATM) in regional and international information systems projects in the capacity of a Business Analyst and Information Systems consultant. He has also contributed to many health information system developments and implementations in Sri Lanka in collaboration with organizations such as Asian Development Bank (ADB), WHO, UNICEF, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Vital Strategies and the Centre for Disease Control (CDC).


Heshan Karunaratne

Holds a BSc (IT) from the Faculty of Information from the University Moratuwa Sri Lanka and a MBA from Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenapura.

Commenced career at hSenid Software International as a business analyst and over a period of 8 years became the head of two strategic business units.

Was the CEO of Observerjobs (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of ANCL for a period of over 1 Year.  



Currently is the General Manager of The Projects Corporation & a Senior Consultant of Ezy Corporation.

Serves as a Project Supervisor at the Faculty of Engineering of the Open University of Sri Lanka and was a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of University of Sabaragamuwa.

Is a Council member of Computer Society of Sri Lanka and Board Director of the ICT Industry Skills Council and also the President of ReStartSL a society focused towards ReStarting Lives of fellow Sri Lankans who face with devastation.

He is passionate about helping the transformation of entities towards digitalization, e-Governance and ICT for development and also keen on inventions, history and supporting people who are less fortunate.  


Dr. Ajith Pasqual

Ajith Pasqual is a Senior Lecturer and former Head of Department of Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa and also former Director/Center for Information Technology Services at the same university. He is the founder and CEO of the first Semiconductor Startup Company in Sri Lanka – Paraqum Technologies which develops products in two areas: a high-performance hardware decoder and encoder for the newest Video Compression Standard –High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC/H.265) and high-performance hardware accelerated Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) based network analyzers and traffic shapers.

He received his B.Sc. Engineering degree with First Class Honours from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering in 1993, M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from The University of Tokyo in Computer Vision in 1998 and 2001 respectively.


Hiranya Samarasekera

Hiranya Samarasekera currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at ICT agency of Sri Lanka. He has over 19 years of experience in designing and developing large scale enterprise application solutions, both locally as well as overseas. Prior to joining ICTA, he was a Vice President of Engineering at Sysco LABS heading the overall Enterprise Architecture and R & D functions in its Colombo engineering center.



He is the Managing Partner of Equator Venture Partners, which engages in discovery and investment in very early stage startups. He has served in the board of AMCHAM in 2018/2019. Hiranya is a graduate from Edith Cowan University (Australia) with a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Software Engineering, an holds an MBA from the same University. He is a certified Project Management Professional.


Udana Wickremasinghe

Udana is a seasoned business cum digital executive who has provided effective stewardship for local and global organizations. He started his career in banking and moved into IT which helped him to gain significant experience in both digital and business arenas. He has over 24 years of experience, with 12+ at the C-level, in Sri Lanka, the UK and Australia. 

Currently he serves as a Director at Sri Lanka Tourism.Udana has picked up the CIO of the Year 2017 award from the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL).

Sobitha Weerasekera

Commenced the career at Sampath Bank in 1988 and to date has over 3 decades of experience in Private , State and Foreign Banks in the Information and Technology area.

Joined People’s Bank in 2007 as Deputy Head of IT and was appointed as Head of Information Technology in September 2010.




Represented People’s Bank in various Technical Evaluation Committees (TEC) which includes Chairman of People’s Bank TEC, Member of National Payment Council (NPC) of CBSL, , Banking Technical Advisory Committee (BTAC)

Sobitha is also a founder member of the Bank's CIO Forum which was formed in 2012. After serving as the deputy Chairman of the SWIFT local user group for 3 years he became the Chairman of SWIFT user Group in 2014.

Joined Standard Chartered Bank from November 2014 as Country Head of Technology until March 2020.
Bring a long term bank representative in National Payment Council (NPC) of CBSL, was appointed as the chairman of the committee to review the payment system road map 2019 - 2020.
